Ali, I'm pretty sure it'll work if you use the onscreen keyboard on your iPad. It probably isn't working because of the bluetooth keyboard. Just a hunch, though.

Ali, I think you're right, since the bluetooth keyboard doesn't have the switcher usually.

Silly me :D I did read your post, but the "on screen" part didn't register. Got it :) And thank you!

Yeah, I have to switch the bluetooth keyboard off, and then I can pull up the on screen one. I had it in my head to use the not-on-screen one though, because supposedly there are ways to make the special characters using any keyboard, or most keyboards. But thank you! It's very helpful not to have to be at home to do my online Spanish assignments. Which are pretty much all of my Spanish assignments.

You could try the key sequence column a go from this: http://www.adobe.com/type/pdfs/characcessmac.pdf

I don't have a bluetooth keyboard to test it out on myself.

This page has other suggestions if that doesn't work: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/09/04/techn ... .html?_r=0

I need to go print that out and tape it to the desk by my desktop, and put it in my Spanish notebook...

Thank you :)
