Go there after work and/or social engagements pay your bills.
Buy plants or something when you get bored of how things look. Just live there.

but also I was moving in to a place with two roomies already so I was feeling awkward. I don't know how to make my brain transition from oh I'm just visiting to No, you live here now.

I forget where you lived before...
Are you ready for the heat? I'm in Texas, so you will get no sympathy from me, cuz they say Nevada is a dry heat, and that's better, so...
Actually, you will likely get lots of sympathy from me
The heat is exhausting. Drink lots of water and wear moisturizer.
Seriously.
I worked with a guy from California, where it is apparently very dry as well. Go figure. I would have thought being next to the ocean...
But no, he said it's dry. He said classic cars last a lot longer there, cuz they don't rust, but he said people look older. He was always thinking people were way younger than they were, cuz everyone here in Texas looked so young compared to California. He said people get dried out and wrinkled, but cars don't rust, because it's more humid here.
So wear moisturizer, and drink water, or you'll get old and wrinkly fast

Give a man a fire and he's warm for a day, but set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life.

I live at the equator, and humidity is a bitch when it comes to my books. I love books, and I hate it when my books start foxing, no thanks to the humidity.
